Pose of the Day

Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana)

Day: 260 • Date: October 21, 2026 • Focus: Grounding & Standing • Level: Beginner • Category: Standing

Try it for: 5 breaths

Take Upward Salute. Reach up without shrugging—keep your shoulders heavy and your ribs relaxed. If anything pinches or hurts, back off. Play with it (no pressure). If it feels good: Add a tiny backbend (keep it gentle) or interlace fingers overhead.

  • Make it easier: Keep hands on hips and focus on posture first.
  • Make it stronger: Add a tiny backbend (keep it gentle) or interlace fingers overhead.
  • Props: Wall (optional)

Listen to your body. If anything hurts (sharp pain, pinching, numbness), back off or skip it. If you're working with an injury or are pregnant, check with a qualified professional.
